$1000 for drinking in public. $35 for an expired meter. $150 for a boot and $65 for the ticket. Hoboken will write a ticket for anything! They write so many tickets that I found a flurry of them floating in our great river. What a mess. I picked up what I could. My only question: what's the fine for littering?
I heard a rumor that the Hoboken Parking Authority had a new member of staff join them last year and he blew the ticket writing record out of the water. I heard he wrote a gross amount of $400,000 of parking tickets, the guy is a machine! I think he was staking out meters that were running down on time, now that is not exactly sporting is it?
